About Washington DC Wedding Photographer Joe Tresh
As a photographer of LGBT historical and community events for over 20 years, I am now focusing on LGBT family and wedding photojournalism.
We are bringing same-sex marriage to American society. I had the opportunity to photograph the first same-sex wedding ceremony held in the District of Columbia. It was a beautiful moment that was political and historical, while remaining deeply personal.
Your relationship is real and important, and you are in an exciting time in history. I want to capture the true emotions of your wedding. I try to provide a professional and easy photography experience that allows you to be yourselves. I don't direct you or your guests. You have a wonderful time while I use my documentary style and empathy capture the emotions of the day. I hope this approach makes your whole wedding more natural so you have a beautiful day to remember.
Generations from now people will look back at our relationships and recognize us as trailblazers who ushered in a new world of full equality. Our photographs will be the permanent record of who we are. Photographing these important historical events and LGBT families is my passion.
