DC Gay Weddings

Sinjoyla Townsend, left, and Angelisa Young, both of Washington, are wed in one of the first wedding ceremonies of same-sex couples in the District of Columbia, March 9, 2010. The ceremony was the first of three held in the morning at the Human Rights Campaign headquarters building in northwest DC. The two were the first same-sex couple to receive a District marriage license.
