DC Gay Weddings

Angelisa Young, left, and Sinjoyla Townsend, both of Washington, following some of the first wedding ceremonies of same-sex couples in the District of Columbia, March 9, 2010. Their ceremony was the first of three held in the morning at the Human Rights Campaign headquarters building in northwest DC. The two were the first same-sex couple to receive a District marriage license.
